This is genius, pure genius. I used it today (after watching this video a few days ago) to cut a tom tom in half to make two mini toms. Worked perfectly! Low-fi method, HD result!

I wish you had shown us the construction of the snare-pedal attachment, and told us less about the guy you made it for.

i have done snare shells similar to yours...I've often wondered if spiral gluing veneer using a proper jig and clamping wouldn't me easier and give a better solidity to the shell. Have you ever considered doing it that way?

How thick for toms?

Hi, I like it too and am on the way to build one. Can you please tell me how thick your shell is and how many plies it has? I am thinking about a 13x6. The shell which is available to me has 7 plies and 5.4 mm thick. Thanks!
